Dirt Dessert

Mrs Gunn said to room 14 that we were going to make a dirt dessert.
Now let me tell you how to make a dirt dessert:

If you follow these steps you will enjoy a dirt dessert!

Needs
-Chocolate yoghurt
-Snap lock bag
-Spoon
-Oreos
-Cup
-Gummy worms

Steps:
1. Wash your hands with hand sanitiser.
2. Get your cup and yoghurt then take the lid off the yoghurt and then pour the yoghurt into the cup.
3. Open the oreo bag, then get one out and then put the oreo in the snap lock bag but make sure all the air is out before you lock it up and the smash it carefully.
4. Place a gummy worm in you cup and the eat it.
ENJOY!!!!!!

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh was a man that loved to paint.
Vincent Van Gogh was born on 30 March 1853 and he died on 29 July 1890.
He started to paint at the age of 9.
Three artist Vincent looked up to was Millent, Theo Van Gogh and Gaughan.

Inspiration Linear Perpective

A horizon line is a line that goes across  your page.
A vanishing point is a dot that goes on a horizon line.
Objects look smaller when as they get closer to the vanishing points.
One point perspective drawing is 1 person of seeing.

Buddy Day Ceations

This is a photo of us doing our plan.

This is our buddy and her name is Summer. Summer likes to go to the beach and likes to sit under her umbrella in the sun and she likes to read her book!

Buddy day is when some  people make a person like boy or a girl and decorate it to look like a real child and then it will get sent to a work place and the people take photos and there is a diary that hangs on the buddy and they write what they did with the buddy.

Fractions

In the Room 14 maths class we are learning about fractions and I learnt that a 1/2 in bigger then 1/5 because 1/2 has only been cut once and 1/5 has been cut 5 times!

Cross Country

Cross country was on Friday last week.
I had to run 2ks its really far at Mingoue Park.
I enjoyed running with my friends. We were pasting ourselves.

Daffodil Day!

Today Room 14 has dressed up in yellow for Daffodil day. For me Daffodil day is a special day because my cousin Ryan had a brain tumour and could not of had surgery because he would have died.

Dianne Rodger

On the 20th of August a special visitor Dianne Rodger came into school.
Dianne Rodger went to the Commonwealth Games to do running and came 4th in the 2 races she did.

Personification

Room 14 has been doing some writing called personification.
We also had a picture  and I had an old fence,
Then we had to find a buddy and my buddy was Taylor.
It went like this:

The old fashioned fence rusty and bent,
It's lonely all the time like a crinkly old ladies spine,
It's horizontal on a lean,
It wish it was sparkly clean,
It has a really good view because you see the beach,
But poor old fence can't reach,

Doug Wilson Visit

On Monday Room 14  had a special surprise, it was Doug Wilson.
Doug Wilson is an author and the books below are the ones he has only just recently published.
A nickname he could use for the book about Room 14 is Ash.

Space Dave

On Thursday the Senior Syndicate had a visitor Space Dave.

I learnt that...

In the middle of the satellite was three men living there,
Saturn has gapes in the rings which have moons between them,
Jupiter is the biggest planet,
Uranus has rings,
The planets in order go like this:
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn Uranus and Neptune.
There are 8 planets.
Saturn is the 6 planet from the sun.

ANZAC Story

When I’m getting off the boat I see my buddy gets shot by a roaring I see a sandy huge hill, my sergeant said run up that hill with gunny, gun, gun. I hear soldiers saying ‘HELP, HELP’ because they got shot by a cannon or a gun. I feel shattered bones when I am sprinting for my life. “BANG, BANG!” I fire a bullet at a Turkish frustrated man. I taste smokey air in my watery, salty mouth. I smelt blood and see soldiers down on the sandy beach. Smokey air getting thicker and thicker. I think to myself am I going to make it or not? Now the war is finished. We eat stale biscuits. I write a wonderful letter to my family.

Today I got picked to be a House Captain! 
I was so nervous when they were announcing the House Captains and then they said my name Ashlee I was so excited. I walked up to the front of the hall so proud with myself. I got my badge and then the whole school clapped to all the House Captains.
